Brief Description:  Made Spacer for Left Aft Baffle

After reading Van's plans for the baffling kit three or four times, I finally noticed that the plans had a note about making a 1/4" spacer which will be inserted between the baffle part 5 and the engine crankcase. I found a scrap piece of 1/8" material, which I cut into two pieces. I drilled holes in the two pieces and then filed the sides of the joined pieces on the belt sander. The pieces were drilled to the baffle part. The spacer that will rest next to the crankcase had its rivet holes countersunk. The spacers were then riveted to the baffle part. In order to place the baffle part in place on the engine, the right side of the spacer had to be rounded off in order to clear the engine mount bolt and nut. The 1/4" reamer was run thru the bolt hole in the spacers and the baffle.
