Brief Description:  Changed Dehydrator Plugs/Removed Alternator

I dried out some dessicant material at home in the oven. The oven temp was set to the lowest setting, of 170°. The dessicant material was placed in a small tray of aluminum foil I had folded up and then placed in the oven. It took about fifteen minutes to dry out the dessicant material, indicated by a dark blue color. I took six of the eight dehydrator plugs out and replaced their moist dessicant material with the dry material. The other two plugs did not need to have their dessicant material dried out. I also put plugs over the exhaust pipes to try to reduce the moisture going into the engine.
I decided to replace the 60 amp alternator included in the Firewall Forward kit with a Plane Power 60 amp alternator. I ordered a boss mount alternator thru Aircraft Spruce, along with some hardware. I took the Van's alternator and its bracket off the engine case and bagged all of the parts, hopefully for selling it later.
