I discovered that there was no cable premade for the transponder, so I cut off about ten feet of RG-400 cable and crimped a BNC connector to it. I also pulled out the transponder and installed a right-angle BNC connector to the back. I threaded some Nylabraid onto the FPS wires and the AOA wire and then used heat-shrink on each end. I installed one Adel clamp on the center arm of the flap actuator and then attached another clamp to it for holding the FPS wires. Two holes were drilled in the center rib for clamping the wires in the center tunnel and the FPS wires and the AOA wire were clamped in place. I added one clamp on the opposite side of the rib for the transponder cable.
I took the P-1 connector apart and snapped in one socket that was loose and checked the other sockets. The connector was put back together. I installed the control column wires into the left control stick, along with the cushioned handle.
