Brief Description: Center Cabin Cover Work/Cabin Heat Cable
I cleaned up and primed the center cover, the F-982C piece, the ELT antenna bracket and the access cover. I riveted nutplates to the center cover and riveted the F-982C to the center cover, as well as nutplates on both. I installed the center cover into the fuselage and the firewall recess into the firewall. I drilled the top of the center cover to the firewall recess with a #12 bit. I riveted the firewall recess together with AN426 rivets and riveted nutplates in the bottom corners of it. Dad took off the control cable bracket and we drilled three of the holes up to 3/8" diameter for the Bowden cables. The cable for the cabin heat needs to be shortened substantially. I inserted the cable into the cable bracket and rescrewed the bracket to the instrument panel.
I drilled the ELT antenna to the right longeron.
The tailwheel control rod was installed in place.
