Brief Description:  ELT New Position/New Flap Switch Inserted

I drilled the four angle brackets to each other and also for the plate to be drilled to the fuselage. I cut the base to the proper size and drilled the ELT base to the plate.

I found more screws to be used for attaching the wires to the flap switch. The screws are 6-32 1/4" with lock washers. I attached the wires and then, while I was installing the switch into the panel, one of the ground wires came out of its crimp. I bought new ring terminals, with heat-shrink tubing, and cut the ends off the two wires that needed to be inserted into the terminal. I crimped the two wires into the terminal and heat-shrunk the tubing around the wires. The wires passed the pull test and I reinserted the flap switch into the panel. I then installed the paddle switch.
