Brief Description: Drilled Heat Vent Box on Firewall
I used a 2'' hole cutter in the portable drill and cutting oil to drill out a hole in the firewall for the heat vent box. This hole was cleaned up. I made two doublers out of .063'' material and primed them. One doubler was drilled to accomodate a K1000-3 nutplate. The nutplate was riveted in place, and then the nutplate was riveted to the firewall. I ordered some stainless steel hardware (bolts, washers, and nuts) from General Aviation Hardware. This hardware will be used to attach items on the firewall.
