I drove to Wakeman Airport and picked up about a quart of preservative oil from Tom Cullen. I pulled all eight dehydrator plugs from the engine and sprayed the interior with the oil. I took the dehydrator plugs home, opened them up and dried the material out in the oven at 170 degrees for about fifteen minutes. I reinstalled the plugs in the engine after the oil stopped leaking out of the bottom plugs.
I began putting the interior into the fuselage for the shop tour the next evening.
