Brief Description:  Canopy Spacers & Roll Bar/Fuselage Bracket

I riveted the C-665 spacers in place underneath the F-6113 canopy braces on both sides. I positioned the canopy roll bar in place and double-checked the measurements for the roll bar. I clamped the roll bar in place and backdrilled the roll bar with a 12" #40 drill bit in both front and aft positions. I took the bar off and drilled the aft hole in each side to 1/4" size. I repositioned the bar in place, clamped it down and drilled the aft holes in the canopy brace on each side up to the 1/4" size. I pulled the bar back off and drilled the forward holes on the bar up to #12 size and repeated the process on the canopy braces. All holes were deburred and the roll bar can be bolted on at any time now.

I cut out two spacers to be placed between the F-6105 instrument subpanel and brackets that are riveted in place next to the ribs.

I cut a .125"x3/4"x3/4" bracket to 20 5/8" length for the bracket to be riveted to the center panel rib. I drilled a 1/4" hole and then cut off one side of the bracket almost an inch long for the bottom end. This end will be riveted to the longeron across the firewall. The end was bent to about 25 degrees.
