Brief Description: Made Remote Compass Bracket/HS Spacers
Finished bracket for remote compass. Drilled and riveted nutplates to the bracket and the ears on the compass. Regular nutplates were used on the bracket for the two front screws. One-eared nutplates were riveted on the compass so that screws can be inserted more easily. The sides of the bracket were bent down and trimmed.
The spacers for the HS were trimmed for the rivets that the spacers sit on top of. Trimmed the corner on each HS skin that interferes with the spacers. Had to ream out the bolt holes for the forward spar again. Placed the VS in place and found that there is a gap of 1/2'' between the VS and the tail section.
