Brief Description: Finished Crotch Strap Brackets/Hole in Floor
Finished drilling right-side crotch strap brackets. Clecoed right floor panel in place and drilled pilot holes in floor for attaching floor to crotch strap brackets and modified bracket on forward side of rib. Drilled these holes up to #19 size. Drilled nutplate holes in forward rib bracket and dimpled them. Took out right crotch strap brackets and deburred holes. Drilled the MS 21051-L08 nutplates to crotch strap brackets. Deburred and dimpled holes. Measured and cut out hole for crotch strap. Enlarged the crotch strap cutout in the floor panel to allow the strap adjustment buckle to pass through. Filed smooth all edges. Took out aft floor panels to give me access to the crotch strap brackets for drilling the bolt holes up to proper size. Used Unibit to drill 5/16'' holes in all brackets for the #6-7A bolts I'm going to use. Installed all brackets, crotch straps, and forward floor panels to check installation/removal of floor with crotch straps installed. I did not see any problems with these areas.
