Used files to clean inside corners of crotch strap pieces. Placed crotch strap in position and found that bolt hole was at the lowest edge of the strap hole. Also found that the strap interferes with the hole cutout and the cutouts had to be filed down by 1/8''. This was done with hand files and die grinder. There should be no touching of the hole cutout with the crotch strap. Hardware that came with the crotch strap kit includes AN5-5A bolts. The holes in the crotch straps are only 1/4", accomodating AN4 bolts.
Checked the Vans Air Force.Net website. Some people have exchanged the crotch strap with Hooker for a longer metal strap with a larger hole. Others have enlarged the hole. My crotch straps do not have any bushings for the bolt.
