Brief Description: Pouring Elevator Lead Counterweights
Set up and poured elevator counterweights. Added a wooden handle to the cast iron skillet for a little distance between me and the hot lead. Poured with the bottom side up. That would allow for the finish plate side to be the top. A sheet of aluminum foil over the top of the pan speeds up the melting of the lead. Smoothed the excess float on the bottom side of both elevators with a vixen file.
It looks like my experiment with high temp paint was not a failure. No eveidence of bubbling or smoking paint. On problem is where I rubbed the paint off with file or c-clamp.
Left them heavy for the material loss that will come with sandblast and prep for paint.
