Brief Description: Forward Flap Pulleys and Fairleads
Welded bushings to short arms for forward flap pulley mounts. Spent a lot of time positioning pulleys. The alignment and positioning of the pulleys and fairleads is finding the best compromise of several factors. I inititially positioned everything for optimum alignment. Then I realized that the cable was too low and would not be within the wing profile. Had previously determined that the center of the flap arm arc was 5 deg aft. I rounded that up to 10 deg given the angle of incidence of the wing and that I wanted to favor the fit to the part of the pull that required more force. That my logic anyway.
Tacked all fairleads and pulley mounts in position. Will not final weld until actual control cables are installed to do a final clearance check.
