Brief Description:  Drilled bulkheads to longerons, started skins

After getting bulkheads 407-412 EXACTLY where they needed to be, I drilled them to the longerons. The increased rigidity is amazing, and the skins aren't even on yet! With the F427 (thick lower aft skin) in place, clamped and strapped, I started trimming it to get around the tailwheel spring mount. This was not easy. I still have a little more filing to do, but image 1 shows the skin tight against the bulkhead. I would have preferred less room around the tailwheel mount, but it still looks ok. (I might fab an aerodynamic fairing for this area someday.)

The 427 skin is ready to come off and drill. Will take care of that next. I got the big 426 skin down from the shelf and clamped it in place for some visual appeal. Initial fit looks like it will lay nice against the 408 and 409 bulkheads without having to shim or make the famous flex-i-flange for those bulkheads.
