Brief Description: Worked on left wingtip and moved wings to other sh
Today was a big day. I was commited to moving the wings from the main shop to the little shop before the end of the weekend. I wanted the wings completely finished before I moved them, and I got pretty close. I worked on the left wingtip, and it is clecoed on. All that remains on the wings, is to dimple the skins for the wingtip screws, and to install the nutplates on the rivet bearing strips I made to go inside the tip. Those will be sealed to the fiberglass tip just like they were on the right wing. The tip has been cut to provide clearance from the aileron. The W-412 tip rib has been located, just needs riveted in. Only a couple hours total left on the tip, so I figured I could do that in the little shop. Before putting the wings back in the cradle, I just had to lay them out for a picture. That's not a big wing.....
