Brief Description:  LH Tank work - lots of it.

Today was a great day progress wise. I decided to get back on the LH tank. I deburred and dimpled the skin, then scuffed all rib lines, area for the drain, and area for the flange. I then scuffed all the inner ribs, the flange, and the drain. Next was drilling the vent holes and vent line holes in the ribs. After everything was CLEANED, I made sure everything was deburred, and well scuffed for the sealant to have some 'teeth'.

I mixed up a good size batch of sealant, and went to work with it. I started with sealing the stiffeners, and dob sealing the rivet holes on them. Then I sealed in the tank drain, and flange, and riveted them on for good, followed by dob sealing the rivets on each. Lastly, I sealed the rib lines and flanges of the inner three ribs, and riveted the lower half of those three ribs to the skin. I ended the day by dob sealing the rib rivets, and fillet sealing around both sides of each rib.
