Brief Description: Drilled tank stiffeners, and bottom skins
Today was our first 'cold' morning. Was nice to be in the shop and not sweating. I got quite a bit done. I drilled the tank stiffener angles to the skin. Then, I drilled the ourboard bottom skin. When I went to drill it to the skeleton, I had to get Angie to help me drill while I reached through the lightning holes to straighten the ribs. After I got the outboard skin drilled on, (mostly) I pressed on and located the inboard skin. No prepunch on these skins either. But, I like it that way. Allows me to put the holes where they need to go. I have marked and started drilling (my prepunch) the inboard skin, and will then drill it to the skeleton. Not sure if I will get to it today, so maybe tomorrow. Angie and the kids came out to check on me, and Kelsey took a picture of Austin on Daddy's lap. He is only 3, but does help me with clecoes!
