Brief Description: Preparing W-423 splice plate and leading edge skin
Just had an hour this evening to get something done. Fabricated the W-423 splice plate- dimensional information is not easy to find in the -4 drawings. It is 1.5" by 36". I then put tape on the leading edge of the nose ribs, to keep from scratching up my leading edge skin. Unfortunately, even though the wing skeleton is squared up in the jig, I will have to move the wing over about 1/2" in the jig, because I did not leave enough room for the 1/2" overhang of the leading edge skin, and outboard wing skins. (The 1/2" overhang is where the wingtips attach) Not a big deal, just a lot of work to resquare the wing in the jig. :)
