Brief Description: DImpled aileron parts, and prepared everything for
|
|
Spent today preparing everything for primer. I scuffed all aileron stiffeners, aileron skin, nose ribs, end ribs, aileron bellcrank parts, spacers, flange bearings, and spar reinforcement plates. Then I dimpled the stiffeners, and aileron skin. After that I had to clean everything. A naptha bath and scrub is great for removing all the dirt, dust and oils on the components. This is a necessary step to ensure good primer adhesion. I finished the day by reviving my old priming rack from the empennage. Everything is hung up and ready to shoot tomorrow.
