Brief Description: More mods to F-783B L&R brackets
Time to deal with the fundamental issue - position of the attach bracket of the Fuel Selector housing. This optional kit is from the RV-7 design, and needs modifications to mount to the spar area in an RV-6A.
I trimmed away a portion of the top and bottom areas that interfere with the steel spar ties, and will fabricate a piece that attaches to the outboard bolt of that tie, and provides a surface for the bracket to attach. That new fabrication will attach to the bolt --- probably under the bolt head. The whole assembly will be independent of the wing spar web, requiring no holes there.
This bracket will have grommets and fuel lines will pass through it. (later).
Note: the manual trim cable is going through the original location, as can be seen inboard of this bracket. After other considerations, it will work in the original position.
