Brief Description:  Canopy "The Big Cut"

Adrenaline pumping, heater heating, grinder grinding ... and it was over in a heartbeat. All that build up to the climax and then the deed was done, without incident.

The cut probably lasted about 5 mins, because I had to untangle the air hose, let the compressor catch up, and carefully move the aft end support because it interfered with the die grinder. Should have seen that one coming ... clear the path. With one inch to go, I couldn't finish without moving a support ... eek!

Satisfied with the result and it can be seen in #2 that the plexi sits high because of the rollbar attach bracket and need to trim a relief there. Otherwise, both pieces appear to be ready for the next phase of trimming and adjusting.

Guess it is time to figure out the baggage window fasteners to be used. I think the original rivet design is still in the instructions but I won't do that [UPDATE - Yes, I will]. And, I need to get some plastic drills

Instead of buying an edge scraper from one of the specialty shops, I tested the backside of a hacksaw blade - the tried and true 'old method'. Dad was right, it still works.
