Brief Description:  Canopy hinge & ejection

Cautiously worked my way through the intracies of the canopy ejection assembly, tubes, mounts, hinges, and pins. I'm guessing that RV's after the -6 have pre-punched parts and so the accuracy and 'adjustments' are minimized. This is less exact and requires 'fitting' and adjusting.

Drilled the UHM block and cut off the notches in the shoulders for clearance on the tubes as it pivots in the block. Shaped the hinge pins, and used the cut-off wheel to slot the 4130 tubes for connection. Had to shorten the tube to fit. Examined operation and distances. Have not drilled the other end of the tubes until everything is 'tight' and in the final position.

Cut a slot in the F-643 (Sharpie shaded area #1), for the WD-618 lever to pass through as seen in #2. Cut another larger slot in the upper portion of F-643 for the Rt tube to pass with room to operate, also seen in #2.

Started determining the next task - fabricating and positioning the UHM hinge blocks, and trimming the F-668 bulkhead for the hinges.
