Brief Description:  Canopy release & braces

Getting back to the canopy hinge mounts. The 'hat channel' mounts on the front side of bulkhead F-668 which adds rigidity, and the F-643 brace mounts on the center line, overlapping the top two rivets into F-668.

The F-643 brace is eventually drilled to the fwd skin but in the meantime, it floats or hangs from the end - attached to the F-668 bulkhead at the aft end. In order to get the alignment, I laid one of the canopy side skins over the brace, from the firewall over the F-668, and on the top channel of the canopy frame. With cleco side clamps, it all 'fixes' the position on which the fwd skin will eventually sit.

Next task is finding the height of the hinge release mechanism, and fabricating the mount blocks. The F-644 R&L braces will be part of that 'sandwich' of UHM, AL, and braces. The hat channel will be the mount point for the canopy 'ejection' pin mechanism.
