Brief Description:  Canopy fitting - more

Set the instrument panel back in position and clecoed some AL strips on the top of the F-668 bulkhead and across canopy frame and panel. Looking at the amount of overhang that will be desired on the sunshield.

Everything is still too flexible to drill but and it's just preliminary concepts and review.

Will be working on the canopy hinge mount block and 'ejection' mechanism next. A lot of websites mention that they installed the hinge pins, but decided to NOT install the swivel, rods, and handle to actually eject the canopy. The argument is that they are not doing aerobatic flight, or not wearing a parachute, or that with struts installed the canopy would not separate in flight. The usefulness of the release handle is therefore questionable and removing the canopy on the ground, although helpful for work behind the panel, can be accomplished by releasing the hinge pins from under the panel.

I'm going to install a functional handle and let the next owner debate future use. It will have a minor impact of the instrument panel geography. I don't see it being that crowded.
