Removed the canopy latching mechanism, deburred and prepared for final fastening. The front of the F-605 bulkhead, Rt side front, shows the result of the bit wandering when drilled. The backside shows problem of interference with the angle. There is insufficient space for either a washer, or the nut to sit properly. I have to remove material from the angle or build up the area with a spacer. Probably prudent to go with the spacer. The same condition exists on the Lt side. Could have moved the UHM blocks lower and also brought them both toward the centerline of the fuselage a little bit. This would get the edge clearance. Hindsight. And, experience.
