In review of the plans, and various web sites (RV-7A tip-ups) it appears that I'm missing a couple of support braces for the hinge block mounts. As can be seen here, there is a very small space between the hinge and brace to its right. The attach block is to be constructed by inserting a 1/8" UHM pad between, then an AL bar spacer, and a 1/2" thick UHM block. The hinge pin is inserted through a hole to be drill through all the UHM material. The UHM blocks are to be secured by bolts to the brace.
However, in reviewing the details of Dwg #31, there is another component (F-644) that is missing in my materials. It was not on the inventory for the Finsihing Kit either, so it would have been either fabricated or supplied in a previous kit. I'll be reviewing the Vans List to see ...
Drilled two pieces of 1/4" AL for the hinge mount. Slotted the links for the hinge pins, drilled the bolt holes for mounting the release mechanicsim.
