Brief Description:  Trim Tab - final assembly

Final stages of trim tab construction - deburred, dimpled, countersunk (spar only) and riveted the whole thing. This component was more stressful and annoying than the entire VS.

Had to trim off slivers of the end 'ribs' about three times to get them to close the gap accurately. Deburred the edges of these tabs on three occasions, only to discover each time that the final fit was not well aligned.

Final version is good and I'm happy enough with result. It's hard to imagine the trim tab being such a huge flight surface (operationally) when it is so small. Trim Tab Horn is so flimsy, two light weight pieces with blind rivets to secure it.

The most difficult task was making the rib for the 'small end' (outboard) because it appeared to be a good fit until it was bent over (and that's a chore). In the end the visibility of that end rib is not much of an issue, outa-sight and outa-mind. The inboard end was good to rivet with minor trimming on the 1st try. Alignment with the trailing edge is pretty good, as is the gap between the elevator and tab.
