Brief Description:  Trim Tab fabrication

No photos - too busy with details

Fabricated a NEW trim tab using .020 materials. Discarding the 1st attempt that was trimmed a little too small and resulted in drilling too close to the skin edge.

Measured more carefully but this time I also incorporated the overlapping end tab approach. This was a big pain, and difficult to jig up and hammer down. The flush set on the rivet gun finally worked best at get the tabs bent well.

This was more complex than the entire VS assembly. Getting the alignment proper without letting the tab 'twist' ... and not drilling too soon and commiting to a specific shape. Yet, at the same time, securing the small tab assembly with clamps to prevent it from shifting once it was removed from the hinge.

I had difficulty with backriveting because of the tight trailing edge and small size. Also, forgot to prime the unassembled parts before starting to rivet. Too many times of fitting, and disassembling the whole thing - and forgot to photograph work in progress.
