Brief Description:  Rudder Prelim assembly

Prepared the 'skeleton' parts, spar, ribs, braces, etc, and clecoed on the skin for final drilling to #40 for the skin, and #30 for almost everything else. Disassembled, deburred, dimpled, and primed them all.

Re-assembled, (clecoed), and then riveted per instructions but found a problem with the bottom K1000-6 nutplate theads. (May have damaged the first thread when enlarging hole in the spar and will need to order a clean nutplate replacement.) Determined the new nutplate CAN be adequately installed (riveted later thru the horn brace) so I finished the assembly and riveted the skeleton except for that replacement nutplate. * Photo 3
