Okay, it may not be building an airplane but I've skipped many hours of 'building' in the log because I didn't bother to record the time. So, I'll count this ... and did some production work at the end.
Extended the bench another 40" and used more of the last shiipping crate from Vans.
This will help as the weather in Phoenix cools and I can use more of the unconditioned space in the garage instead of the workshop with the A/C unit.
In the end, did more organizing of plane parts, cleaning of the garage, and then made airplane noises and visualized the cockpit operations. Made two decisions; 1) the rudder pedals need to move forward, to the next hole position, and 2) there is no room for my head if the pilot side gets a 'bolster' under the foam. The seat back and bottom need to be foam only, and the upholstery needs to be 'slick' -- to slide down into the seat pan.
Need to call JDAir Parts for the canopy latch replacement, too.
