When I started on the overlap seam, I worked from lines that I had drawn weeks ago before taking a long build vacation. (Too many conflicts on the calender.)
After drilling the first 8-9 hole pairs, I removed the clecoes to check alignment and discovered that the edge line of the overlap was too close to the rib (See #2). After carefully remeasuring the distance, it was apparent that the drill line had no room for error, the tolerance on either the top skin or the rib would be violated by deviation from a perfect line.
I added intermediate holes 'on the new line' but deburred and dimpled all holes. I carefully drilled and monitored the precision of the line from there to the trailing edge of the skin.
It is an inelegant but structurally sound solution and will be mitigated by paint eventually.
Following this, I monitored the other lines more closely for the remainder of the top skin (W-603).
NOTE: After removing the protective plastic, I used Metal All polish to clean-up the skin and remove light indications of finish damage from 9 yrs of sitting in the hanger. Will prime the interior side with GBP-988.
