Brief Description:  W-603 Top Wing skin, Rt

Re-started working on (drilling) the top skin on the right wing, W-603. Left this skin a couple months ago with a bunch of clecoes in the middle and waiting for the remaining holes.

Rechecked the plans and alignment of 'drill lines' marked on the skin. Rechecked progress by removing most of the clecoes, cleaning debris, and getting familiar with progress.

Things were looking pretty good as I worked to the inbd end and started toward the trailing edge along the overlapping joint. Then, after drilling half dozen paired holes, I removed the clecoes and folded back the skin to check progress. Discovered that the rib at this location was slightly off center (veered to to the inbd), AND, that the line of the drill holes was slightly to the outbd end.
After getting a cold drink, and catching my breath, I re-surveyed the alignment and decided on a course of action. Pictures to explain. Adjusted the drill line to be more precise, no margin for error, no excess material. The hole line is right at the tolerance for edge distance on both rib and top skin. Also, added some ugly 'in between' holes along the first 6 holes that are too close to the rib edge (within two rivet diameters). [I.E., doubled up on the edge rivets in this area.]
