Brief Description: Cable Mounting Bracket Fabrication Part 1
Fabricated a throttle cable bracket to hold the throttle cable securely to the bottlom of the engine just prior to the fuel servo. The bracket that Vans supplies wont work with the horizontal cold air induction sump on my IO-375 engine. I used cardboard and thin scrap aluminium to get the dimensions and bends correct. I then transfered that to .053 steel and cut out the bracket and drilled the mounting holes.
Then I started laying out the necessary dimensions for a quadrant cable bracket used to secure and support the throttle, mixture, and prop cables just forwar of the throttle quadrant. I transfered the dimensions to some 1/8" thick aluminium angle stock.
