Brief Description: Modified armrest and throttle quadrant Part 1
Parker and I started work on building a new left forward armrest and throttle quadrant. First the old armrest had to be removed. This involved drilling out all the attach rivets for the old armrests on both sides. Parker was pretty good at drilling out the old rivets. While he was drilling out rivits I focused on drawing up a pattern for the new armrest and throttle quadran. The new armrest supports had to be fabricated to attach to the fuselage skin. These were made out of longeron AA and match drilled to the side skin. Nutplates for #8 screws were added to attach the armrests. The new armrest will be raised about an inch and be much wider.
