Brief Description:  Spinner installation begun

We held the spinner on with cleco clamps and marked the center of it. Then we anchored a drill bit to a ladder and centered it. After taking the plugs out, we turned the prop until we had the bit centered through several swings of the prop. Then we carefully drilled the spinner to the rear spinner bulkhead in 4 places around the prop cut out. We will, next time, measure the distance and evenly space the remaining 10 holes. Keith didn't like the way we had plumbed the manifold pressure by passing a 1/8"{ copper tube through the firewall so he found us a bulkhead fitting and some rubber hose. We will now have to drill another hole in the firewall for the fitting. ...... I talked to Vern Little, our EAA technical advisor and DAR, today. He can come up any weekend between now and Christmas so I hope we will be seeing him in the next few weeks. He said that since he has inspected much of the plane numerous times before, we can begin to put some of the inspection plates back on and begin to finish the interior.
