Brief Description: Carb heat muff & man pressure installed
Today, we installed the carb heat muff. We had to shorten the exit side of the muff by 3/4" to make it fit and turned it vertical and things went together well. Image #1 shows Claude finishing installing the hose clamps on the scat tubing.....I had installed the sensor box for the manifold pressure earlier, so today we installed the copper tubing from the #3 cylinder up over the motor mount and in through the fire wall. Inside, I joined the 1/8" copper to the plastic tube supplied by GRT using a mini hose clamp. I still have to set the parameters on the EIS but after some study tonight, I think that I will be able to do this tomorrow. If you look closely in Image #2, you can see that we got a piece of fuel line hose and put it on the copper and passed this through 2 Adel clamps thus securing the copper tube. We got the hose from the "aviation section" of NAPA. We also got a grounding strap for the engine from the same section.
