We did some filing and fitting of the upper & lower cowl so that we would have a 1/16th " gap. Then we cleaned up the side hinges & inserted the side hinge pins several times until they would slide in and out with only a little difficulty. When they were pinned together, we drilled the cowl in the air inlet for the 4 nut plates. Then we set our Cam Lock depth and pulled the lock pins. After getting this done, we cut the side cowl pins that I had ordered with a welded on anchor plate. I buffed and applied some Boelube. They will now go in with moderate effort. We then marked the place we need to line up the exhaust pipes and took off the upper and lower cowl. Now I think that we are ready to finish hanging the exhaust.
