Brief Description:  Sanded air scoop, laid micro & fiber glass

Today, when I took the balloon out that we had left in on the week end, I found that the fiberglass was not applied smoothly, so it took much sanding to get it down right. There were still some defects after sanding, so I filled them with micro balloons. See Image #1. Image #2 shows that things are smoother on the aft side of the scoop. After the micro dried, we sanded it down and got a very smooth surface, so I applied another layer of fiber glass and held it in place with another balloon. I hope that this time the glass will lie down smoothly. Image # 3 shows that we also mounted the air box and carb for the last time, I hope. The bolts holding the mounting plate to the carb were tightened and then safety wired. You can see that the little carb heat muff will need to be shortened even more for it to mate up with the carb heat inlet that can be seen on the top of the air box.
