Brief Description: Air gasket remade using pro-seal-Mag blast tubes
Today as we were doing some last minute inspection of the air box, we noted that the RTV seal of the air filter around the accelerator pump we not secure! We therefore, scraped it off. I called Nell, my wife, to bring the pro-seal, which we keep in the freezer at home, so we could try it and see if it adhered better than the RTV. The pro-seal can be seen in Image #1. It takes at least 24 hrs. to harden so we will not be able to do any more work on the air box until Monday. Image #2 shows that we then installed blast tubes to the mags and secured them with RTV and anchored them to the engine mounts with cable ties. We now have 1396 hrs. invested in the project ..... One year ago, had just installed both wings for the first and I hope the last time! Image #3 shows a proud and smiling Cleve on that momentous occasion!
