Brief Description:  Left side-floor-front baffles completed & mounted

Claude was again out for medical reasons so Nell & I went out and I thought I would just fly through the riveting and mounting of the front, floor and side baffles. It didn't happen! Nell doesn't rivet so in some areas I had trouble riveting and bucking the rivets but did finally get it done. Alas, when I tried to mount the joined baffles, things had changed and I had to some major rebending, etc to finally get it to fit and to join the other side, which by the way, mounted without difficulty. As can be seen in Image #2, I also cut the front side baffle to fit the air intake ramp. I still haven't cut out the blast tube holes or the hole for the cabin heat flange. I guess that I will do that tomorrow and also rivet the 2 left back wall baffles together.
I was tired of looking at the plastic wrap on the wind screen and canopy and was also expecting a couple of friends by to inspect my bird so I took it off. It looks a lot better but there are a few places where there is some residual "gum" on the plexi left from tape. Soap and water didn't take it off but I think that mineral spirits will. However I am going to try it on some scrap before I start smearing it on the beautiful canopy. Image #3 shows canopy and wind screen with film off but they are so clear one can't tell from the picture the plexi is even in plance. Believe me, it is! I also touched up some areas in the interior where the paint had been chipped.
