Brief Description: Baffle floors and forward side fitting
Today we did some adjusting of the bends in the baffle floors and like others on the Van's Air Force forum, we found that the bend lines suggested on the plans are not correct. On the right we found that the bend line on our cowl should have run just opposite from the plans. On the left we may have initially bent the floor bend line in the wrong direction but this was not clear on the plans and was not apparent until we had gotten a good fit. We then installed the part #14 on the left and the part #16 "finger" on the right. This gave us more stability as did installing the part stiffener on the right. I have forgotten its part number. We then trimmed the floor and the forward side walls so that they fit nicely and when we get the angles installed on both sides, I think that we will have an acceptable ramp from the air inlets to the floors. This will come tomorrow.
