Today we continued to work on fitting of the cowls. We filed and fitted the junction of the upper and lower cowl until now as seen in Image #1 the fit is OK. The gap behind the backing plate is even all around the air inlets are the same size on both sides. We filed some more on the top cowl and as can be seen in Image #2, the fit is getting there. There is a little more filing to do on the very top for a good fit. We shortened the lower cowl and in some places it fits but in others we need some more filing. We are trying to creep up on the fit so we won't overdo it. The sides will need some filing but they seem to be coming together. One year ago we were working on the fuel floats and sealing the fuel tank ends. Seems such a long time ago!
