Brief Description:  Top cowl cut to length-working on lower cowl

We marked and cut the top cowl to length using the spacer behind the rear backing plate. We now have a good fit but still need to file maybe a 32nd. inch for a perfect gap. Then we taped up the bottom cowl and had to do some filing on the very front of the outside of the air inlet. See Image #1. If you enlarge this picture you will see that I am covered with sweat! It is just too hot but we can't stop when we are getting this close! We now have pretty good fit but will need a little more filing on the front and then cut the rear of the bottom cowl. We have a slight overlap on the sides but this we can probably manage with filing. We have found that the wood rasp is a great tool for taking down fiber glass quickly. The front (Image #2) looks pretty good, down you think?
