Brief Description:  Canopy skirts mated, drilled, & trimmed

Today, we put the 2 rear skirts on AGAIN and this time marked the side skirts and laid out a rivet pattern. We then drilled them and clecoed the side skirts to the rear skirts. Then we marked the bottom of the side skirt so that we could remove the rear skirts and cut them off to match the side skirts. See Image #1. They match very well. However in pulling the rear skirt down for drilling we caused the inboard side of the skirts to raise up again. This was corrected by grinding off the aft edge of the skirts where they were pressing down very tightly on the turtle deck. By doing this we got a better fit. Image #2 shows the canopy slid back and the newly painted glare shield shining forth. It really looks good in the slightly rough finish. Tomorrow we move on to the dog house. The gentleman that was to come out to see about pull handles for the roll bar had something come up and he was not able to come out. He will try to get out tomorrow.
