Brief Description:  Canopy frame in track - Tracks drilled & clecoed

Today, we checked everything again and then drilled the canopy tracks to the canopy deck. We have the required 1/16" inset of the canopy frame side rails when compared to the skin. We THINK that this is the most important measurement. You can see the clecoed (encircled) canopy tract in Image #2.
We also adjusted the slider rail or tract (encircled and pointed to in Image #2) so that we had rear canopy bow 1/16" below the turtle deck skin in the center. However when we started to drill the track to the skin we found that we were right over the skin rivets so we had to rebend the track so we could slide it forward off the rivets. When we had the clearance from the rivets, we drilled the slider track to the turtle deck skin and the underlying stringer. The canopy frame now slips back and forth effortlessly. I hope it will do this well with the canopy "aboard"!
I think we might "tweak" the rear bow a little more tomorrow before we begin on the canopy itself.
