Brief Description: Canopy bow tweaking-marking canopy center line
I ran out yesterday afternoon and tried to bend the rear canopy bow on the right to better conform to the skin and deck but couldn't. I thought that if I waited until today certainly Claude and I together could bend that "little ole" tube. However, with both of us pulling, pushing, stepping, etc, we couldn't move the frame even a 1/8". We tried to make a prize pole but when we put pressure on it, the pole broke. I then got out our tubing bender and broke that. I am about to get a 20# sledge. NOT! After giving up on the rear bow, we got out the canopy and marked its center line and then turned things over and did the first fit of the frame to canopy. We did not have enough spring clamps to hold it together so I will make a run to the aviation department of Big Lots this afternoon.
