Brief Description:  Panel back in-Canopy slide & spacer drilled

Today we found enough help to lift the panel back in. It was a TIGHT fit under the roll bar but it did squeak into place. The key switch caught on the brace on the canopy deck and had to be taken out and put back in after the panel slid home. See Image #1. Notice that I have my Garming 396 out updating its software.
We still have not hooked up everything again and you can see we will need to tie everything up. The AHRS slid right into its holder without any problem. Claude really did a great job designing it!
We got the slider spacer bent just right and then clamped the track onto it. We marked it while up on the plane so we would miss the rivets on the skin when we drilled for the bolts used to hold the track in place. We then drilled it for AN3 rivets and countersunk both the spacer and the track so they could be back-riveted together. While Claude was deburring and priming these pieces, I practiced my back-riveting. I have not done this since working on the elevator up at Alexander's in Griffin. Tomorrow, I guess we will see if I still remember how and we will also see how well our canopy frame fits. We have all heard about
We have 1050 HOURS on the project and TOMORROW will be A YEAR since the "quick build" kit was DELIVERED.
