Brief Description:  Riveted forward deck structures

Yesterday, we finally removed the instrument panel and today we could get to the forward deck and subpanels to rivet them. In image #1 you can see that 6 rivets were difficult to get to but thankfully we had a rivet gun head with a large offset so we could get under there. In image #2 you can see that all the ribs are riveted and the pressure manifold can now be permanently anchored to the firewall. The blue notes scribbled on the firewall were to remind us to do that. We can now remove them.
Next week we will put the forward skin back on and make sure it still fits. Then we can go on to the canopy finally. We now don't have the excuse of waiting on hot weather for it was 95 degrees in our hangar today.
We still don't have Camlocks to rivet to the firewall and we don't have the firewall drilled for the backup mechanical tach. These things should be done before we hang the engine.
