Brief Description:  Unhooking the panel wiring and removing it

After solving our fuel gauge problem with a gentle hammer tap, we finished our check out of the panel and it was OK. I then removed the right stick, placed pillows on the floor and over the spar box (see image #2) and crawled under (see Image #1). I was really surprised that it was not TOO uncomfortable. I then began unhooking all the connections that we had slaved to make over the last 6-7 weeks. As I unhooked each one, Claude recorded it so we would not overlook any when the panel goes back in. Image #3 shows some of the wires that will have to go back together then.
Today, I had plenty of light but then with the skin in place it will be dark. Vern Darley suggested priming the underside of the skin with white primer and one of the mechanics suggested a head light. I think that I will be able to it but it will not be fun.
Some of the National Guard helicopter pilots who were here to combat our wild fire came down to see the project. We at the point of lifting the panel out and they were so kind to help. Oh, to be that young again!!!!! The panel is back on the table where it was 2 months ago and we can finally begin riveting the forward deck and skin!
