Brief Description:  Mounted transponder antenna & heater cable-lens

We again worked to get everything done under the forward skin. We routed the cabin heat cable. It exits to the right and our control knob is on the left so it had to make a 180 degree bend but with on Adel clamp and several cable ties, it works great. The knob was mounted at Aerotronics so that it can be left in place when the panel is removed. This is a great innovation.
We decided that the antenna would go in the front right corner as near to the firewall as possible. You can see this location in Image #1. The blue fitting in both Images is the fuel vent. We made a ground plane backing plate as can be seen in Image #2. We didn't prime it but forgot to sand the primer wash that was put on the inside of the bottom skin by the Quick Build kit builders. I don't think that this will be a problem but I will look some references on the Air Force forum.
Claude had fit the strobe wing tip lens and drilled the holes for 4 nut plates on each tip. We couldn't squeeze the rivets so it took both of us to drive these little "dudes". The lenses are now ready to install. We still need to mount the wing tip antennas before the tips will be ready to go on permanently. The stobe/nav lights are ready to be remounted under the lens.
